Ingredients
Just because this burger will make your family’s taste buds dance, doesn’t mean it has to be difficult. All it takes is six simple ingredients, then fire up the grill. The key is to have two different types of ground beef. One pound of ground sirloin, 90 percent lean, and ¾ pound of ground chuck, 80 percent lean. This will allow for a flavor-filled burger.
Garlic and onion powder are needed to season the ground beef, as well as sliced American or Cheddar cheese, jarred or canned roasted diced green chiles drained, and brioche buns to top the burgers.
Directions
Heat the grill at medium-high before you start. Then, in a small bowl, you will combine the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. In a larger bowl, mix the two types of ground meat. Form the meat into six, four-inch-wide patties. Lastly, sprinkle the patties on both sides with the seasoning mixture in the small bowl.
Grill the burger patties for three minutes, then flip and top with cheese. Cook for an additional three minutes, or until the desired doneness. Top the burgers with two tablespoons of green chiles. Serve on toasted brioche buns.
